Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have Community College Diploma/ Equivalent
Experience: Candidates should have 2 years current customs brokerage experience with rating/clearance done in full compliance with CBSA regulations

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should have the ability to lift 70 lbs and maneuver any package weighing up to 150 lbs with the appropriate equipment

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be Canadian Customs Specialist (CCS) or (CSCB) qualified professionals
  • The candidates must maintain their CCS designation when in this position and achieve annual recurrency points
  • The candidates should possess excellent mathematical skills
  • The candidates should have knowledge of International Customs documentation and regulations
  • The candidates should have in-depth knowledge of customs, agriculture, food and drug, tariff, and valuation laws, as well as other government department laws and policies
  • The candidates should demonstrate knowledge of different agency clearance requirements and release processes required
  • The candidates should have basic proficiency in Excel
  • The candidates must achieve 25 WPM on data entry alphanumeric testing

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to provide extensive customs brokerage services in accordance with Canada Customs and other government departments (OGD) regulations and legislation pertaining to over sixty acts of legislation relating to International Trade
  • The candidates should be able to handle high and low-value (HVS/LVS) entry processing and provide customer consulting
