Ocean pasta salad 🥗
🌟 Ingredients:
– 225g of wheat pasta
– 1 tsp of salt
– 1 tsp of olive oil
– 160g of plain Greek yogurt
– 1 lemon juice + zest
– 1 tsp of Old Bay seasoning
– 2 tbsp chopped chives
– 225g of cut crab meat
– 225g precooked prawns, cut
– 120g of celery, cut into small cubes
Old Bay seasoning (for 2 cases):
– 1 tbsp of celery salt
– 1/4 teaspoon of paprika
– 1/8 tsp of black pepper
– 1/8 tsp of cayenne pepper
– 1 pinch of ground dry mustard, ground nutmeg, ground cinnamon, ground cardamom, allspice, ground cloves and ground ginger
🌟 Instructions:
1. Boil the water in a large saucepan with salt and a drizzle of oil.
2. Add the pasta, mix well and cook until al dente, about 8-10 min. Once cooked, drain the pasta in a colander and run under cold water; put aside
3. For Old Bay seasoning, you can buy it ready-made or make it at home by mixing all the ingredients for the seasoning.
3. Meanwhile, in a salad bowl, whisk the yogurt with the lemon juice, zest, Old Bay seasoning, chopped chives, salt and pepper. Stir in the pasta and toss to coat evenly
4. Add the shrimp, crab, celery and stir gently. Taste and adjust with salt and pepper, as needed
5 – Refrigerate 30 min to cool and let the flavors mix together
