Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have Bachelor’s degree in nursing
Experience: Candidates should have minimum of 5 years Acute care clinical experience and at least 3 years of experience in a leadership role

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate advanced decision-making, negotiation, communication, and conflict management skills
  • The candidates should display a solid understanding of quality and patient safety and a proven ability to develop and lead teams

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess strong management and leadership skills and exhibit analytical and problem-solving skills
  • The candidates should have excellent writing skills with the ability to respond to short timelines and showcase proven current clinical nursing skills in selected areas of practice
  • The candidates should maintain a strong track record in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • The candidates should advocate for patient and family-centered care
  • The candidates should possess experience in an Operating Room setting, Connect Care experience and 1 to 3 years of supervisory experience

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to, reporting to the Site Director, hold a key leadership role as the Manager, responsible and accountable for the direction
  • The candidates should be able to act as team leadership, and organization of the activities of the Departments while supporting the vision, mission, and business plan of Alberta Health Services
