Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided Credentials: Driver’s License (Class 1 or A) Documentation knowledge: Bill of lading, Driver logbook, Maintenance and repair reports, Trip reports
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, load and unload goods, operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
- The candidates should be able to oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, perform emergency roadside repairs
- The candidates should be able to perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
- The candidates should be able to perform preventive maintenance, receive and relay information to central dispatch
- The candidates should be able to record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
