Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a University degree/College diploma with an emphasis on Business or Accounting plus 3-4 years enrollment in a CPA program
Experience: Candidates should have Five years of experience in an accounting/bookkeeping environment, with an emphasis on accounts receivable, including some supervisory experience

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should understand the accounting principles used in the posting and reconciliation of transactions to the general ledger and sub-ledger accounts
  • The candidates should possess strong analytical skills to interpret activity on Student Account from a variety of sources as well as to reconcile clearing accounts
  • The candidates should have knowledge of accounts receivables and collection routines, required to secure payments. They should be articulate and possess good interpersonal skills due to the high level of customer contact, much of which may have been escalated from the front line staff
  • The candidates should provide direction and support to the front line staff and must be aware of the roles of other student support offices as well as any relevant policies
  • The candidates should have thorough knowledge of Windows and the suite of Microsoft Office products

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to efficiently operate the Student Accounts section of Business Operations by coordinating and allocating the workload of the section
  • The candidates should be able to ensure that specified controls are exercised, deadlines are met, appropriate records are maintained, and the service requirements of the section are satisfied
  • The candidates should be able to ensure the accurate and timely recording and collection of student accounts receivables, including the monthly reconciliation of related accounts
  • The candidates should be able to prepare year-end working papers, apply employee benefits, and accurately complete revisions associated with course changes
  • The candidates should be able to have considerable contact with the University’s students and administrative staff, assisting with the coordination of de/registration procedures
  • The candidates should be able to assist with the formulation of new policies and procedures as they affect accounts receivables
