Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years
Computer and technology knowledge: SQuirreL, Point of sale system
Own tools/equipment: Uniform
Credentials: Food and Beverage Server Training, Serving It Right Certificate
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, be physically demanding
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to handle weight up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
- The candidates should be able to work in a hot area
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be client focus, organized, initiative, reliable
- The candidates should have excellent oral communication, efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates must be of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages
- The candidates should be able to address customers’ complaints or concerns, present bills to customers, and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travelers cheques, or room billings
- The candidates should be able to describe menu items including daily specials for customers, advise on menu selections, clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs
- The candidates should be able to greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding food and beverages, order and maintain inventory of wines and wine glassware
- The candidates should be able to serve food and beverages, take orders and relay to kitchen and bar staff, assist clients/guests with special needs, provide customer service
