Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have graduation from an approved/recognized school of nursing program
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to constantly move/lift up to 10 lbs., regularly move/lift up to 25 lbs., and occasionally be required to restrain/reposition/move/lift up to 30 lbs. They should also be capable of pushing/pulling up to medium force
- The candidates should constantly stand/walk and work in awkward or cramped positions to assist with procedures
- The candidates should constantly use fine finger/precision, auditory, sensory, and visual concentration to provide and conduct risk assessments, observe/monitor patients, complete documents, follow directions, and administer medications
- The candidates may be subject to time pressures/deadlines and a lack of control over work pace
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess a current practicing license with the College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador (CRNNL)
- The candidates should maintain a satisfactory record of work performance
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to coordinate and participate in the delivery of holistic and supportive care to patients/clients/residents by assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating the plan of care
- The candidates should be able to provide health promotion, curative, supportive, rehabilitative, and palliative services as part of the overall care plan
- The candidates should be able to provide professional supervision and direction or mentoring to the nursing care team, supporting other members of the interprofessional team to achieve safe and effective care for patients
- The candidates should be able to ensure that documentation and nursing policies and practices are followed while working together with families to ensure the highest standard of care is provided
