Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of Certified Athletic Therapists
Experience: Candidates should have 3 to 5 years of professional experience in an Athletic Therapy setting
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be Certified First Responder Instructors with the Canadian Red Cross, with 3 to 5 years of experience in on-field sport medical coverage
- The candidates should have advanced knowledge in Emergency Medicine and practical experience in Athletic Therapy
- The candidates should have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
- The candidates should have experience in teaching and curriculum development at the post-secondary level or equivalent experience as a trainer in Healthcare
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to deliver course curriculum in the classroom and online, ensuring student awareness of course objectives, approach, and evaluation techniques
- The candidates should be able to tutor and provide academic counseling to students while evaluating student progress or achievement and assuming responsibility for the overall assessment of the students’ work within assigned courses
- The candidates should be able to define, evaluate, and validate learning outcomes and design appropriate strategies and tools for assessing student learning
- The candidates should be able to develop individualized instruction and multimedia presentations and incorporate technology into the learning process where applicable and attend periodic faculty meetings
