Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Equipment and machinery experience: Circular saws, Drills, Torches, Sledgehammer, and Hand tools
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work outdoors or underground, and the environment may be noisy, dusty, and hot
- The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work effectively under pressure, be physically demanding and repetitive tasker
- The candidates should be capable of lifting weights up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to mix, pour, and spread materials, assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction, and perform routine maintenance work
- The candidates should be able to remove rubble and other debris at construction sites, read and interpret blueprints, and measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required shape and size
- The candidates should be able to test systems for leaks using testing equipment, install, repair, and maintain plumbing fixtures and systems, and cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and fittings
