Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or Intermediate or a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to demonstrate flexibility to work banking center hours, which may include evenings and weekends
  • The candidates should be able to, in order to help deliver a great client experience, show flexibility in working at multiple banking centers within a reasonable travel distance

It’s an asset if they’ve completed any of the following: Branch Compliance Officer’s Course (BCO), Branch Managers Examination Course (BME), Conducts & Practices Handbook (CPH), Wealth Management Essentials (WME); or Certified Financial Planner (CFP)

  • The candidate should have expertise in Banking, showcasing a comprehensive understanding of financial services in this domain
  • The candidate should possess proficiency in Lending, demonstrating the ability to handle various lending processes and transactions
  • The candidate should be well-versed in Mutual Funds, possessing the necessary knowledge and skills to guide clients in this investment avenue
  • The candidate should demonstrate expertise in Personal Investments, showcasing the ability to provide tailored advice and solutions based on individual financial goals

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to develop and coach a team of client service and financial service professionals, working towards a shared goal – delivering an exceptional client experience and deepening client relationships
  • The candidates should be able to, as Managers, Client Advice, inspire team members to perform at their best while supporting a “One Team” approach that connects each client with the right advice to meet their financial needs
  • The candidates should be able to lead by example in the area of Client Experience, demonstrating how to deepen client relationships and meet client financial needs while providing a high standard of service. They should encourage employees to quickly resolve client complaints, escalate when necessary, and manage hard-to-solve issues. Additionally, they should empower clients to utilize self-service channels
  • The candidates should be able to exhibit Results-Driven Leadership by creating a culture of collaboration across multiple client offers, ensuring clients are served by those best able to meet their financial needs. They should support the Banking Centre Leader in monitoring business performance, implement action plans to close any gaps, and work as one team with all partners to increase the banking centre’s overall performance
  • The candidates should be able to demonstrate People Leadership by creating a team-oriented, positive, and productive working environment, recognizing the contributions of their team. They should lead and coach a successful client service and financial services team. Additionally, they should advocate for CIBC within the community to recruit employees who share and demonstrate the company’s values
