Westmorland Fisheries Ltd. started off as a small, family-owned fish plant for over 45 years. We are committed to consistently delivering high-quality lobster products to clients all over the world through our own Rocky Point brand or private label. We supply customers in North America, Europe and Asia, in multiple industry segments, from major grocery chains and food service distributors to large restaurant chains, seafood distributors and food manufacturers. We hire foreign workers to fill labour or skill shortages on a temporary basis. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible. This position of Lobster processor – fish processing is approved by LMIA.

Work site environment: Candidates should work in noisy, odours, cold/refrigerated and wet/damp place
Security and safety: Bond required
Transportation/travel information: Own transportation required and public transportation is not available
Own tools/equipment: Candidates should have gloves, mask and steel-toed safety boots
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications such as a high school, bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work overtime, perform repetitive tasks, handle heavy loads, pay attention to detail, stand for extended periods and also for bending, crouching, kneeling
- The candidate should be physically strong and also have hand-eye co-ordination
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work in a flexible environment and also have efficient interpersonal skills
- The candidate should be reliable and also a team player
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to cut, clean and trim fish or seafood prior to marketing or further processing and also disjoint and remove meat from lobsters or other crustaceans preparatory to canning or further processing
- The candidate should be able to check products and packaging for defects and to ensure conformance to company standards and perform corrective machine adjustments as required and also set up and operate machines to can, bag, box or otherwise package fish and seafood products
