Dawson Downtown Limited Partnership based in Dawson, YT is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Light duty cleaner. Dawson Downtown Limited Partnership is a collaborative venture aimed at revitalizing and promoting the historic downtown area of Dawson. Comprising local businesses, property owners, community organizations, and government entities, the partnership works together to enhance the economic, cultural, and social vibrancy of Dawson’s downtown core. The candidates selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Work setting: Rural area, Relocation costs not covered by employer, and Hotel, motel, resort

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, efficiently managing tasks under pressure, and capable of handling repetitive tasks with consistency and accuracy
  • The candidates should be physically fit and able to meet the demands of a physically demanding job, demonstrate attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in their work, and be comfortable with tasks involving bending, crouching, and kneeling
  • The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods and walk as necessary for the job, and handle loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs) as part of their responsibilities

  • The candidates should demonstrate punctuality, consistently arriving on time for work and appointments, and prioritize client satisfaction, showing a strong focus on meeting client needs
  • The candidates should exhibit dependability, reliably fulfilling their responsibilities and commitments, possess efficient interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with clients and colleagues, and demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changing circumstances and requirements
  • The candidates should take initiative in identifying and addressing challenges proactively, be organized, able to manage tasks and resources efficiently, and be reliable, consistently delivering high-quality work and meeting deadlines

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, and vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture
  • The candidates should be able to make beds and change sheets, distribute clean towels and toiletries, and stock the linen closet
  • The candidates should be able to clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, handle and report lost and found items, attend to guests’ requests for extra supplies or other items, and provide basic information on facilities
