Salary: $29.87 to $34.31 hourly (To be negotiated) for 17.5 to 35 hours per week

Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Area of specialization: Geriatrics
Credentials: Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work, CPR Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Immunization records and Tuberculosis test
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to perform repetitive tasks
- The candidates should have attention to detail and should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
- The candidates should be able to handle a large caseload

- The candidates should be accurate, demonstrate client focus, and be dependable
- The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, and should have excellent written communication

Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to administer medication and observe and document therapeutic effects
- The candidates should be able to take vital signs, apply aseptic techniques including sterile dressing, ensure infection control, monitor nutritional intake, and conduct specimen collection
- The candidates should be able to provide pre-operative and post-operative personal and comfort care
- The candidates should be able to monitor established respiratory therapy and intravenous therapy
- The candidates should be able to provide safety and health education to individuals and their families
- The candidates should be able to provide nursing services, within defined scope of practice, to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures
- The candidates should be able to monitor patients’ progress, evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions, and consult with appropriate members of the healthcare team
