Work setting: Custom machine shop, and Manufacture
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 5 years or more
Equipment and machinery experience: Gear cutting machine
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Credentials: Machinist Trade Certification, Forklift Operator Certification, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate, and Overhead Crane Certification
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should possess manual dexterity for precise tasks and demonstrate attention to detail in their work
- The candidates should have hand-eye coordination for accurate performance and be willing to work overtime when required
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate excellent oral communication skills and possess the ability to multitask effectively
- The candidates should be reliable in fulfilling their duties consistently and demonstrate excellent oral communication skills
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to read and interpret blueprints, and operate and set up machines to perform repetitive machining operations
- The candidates should be able to verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers), and perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery
- The candidates should be able to clean and maintain the workspace as part of their responsibilities
