Requirements:

Education: Candidates should have university degree (Master’s level preferred) in business/commerce/accounting/ with a recognized professional accounting designation such as CMA, CGA, CPA or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to work independently under the general direction of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), providing strategic leadership, counsel, advice, expertise, and integrity in the planning, management, and administration of all financial resources and procurement activities for the Faculty of Dentistry
- The candidates should be able to take on a broad and complex set of responsibilities to ensure the Faculty’s financial and procurement goals, objectives, and priorities are met. This includes identifying and addressing the resource implications of these activities for the academic, research, Continuing Dental Education (CDE), and clinic operations
- The candidates should be able to plan and develop the Faculty of Dentistry’s annual budgets (academic, research, CDE, and dental clinics) under the direction of the CAO. This includes short and long-term academic budget planning and modeling. The Director of Finance and Procurement should ensure alignment of dental clinics’ financial matters with the overall Faculty’s strategic budget model and academic plan related to the dental clinics
- The candidates should be able to oversee and administer the annual budget process for ancillary fees, including procurement of hundreds of items for undergraduate, graduate, and non-degree programs. Collaborating closely with the CAO, Director of Clinical Affairs, Associate Director of Clinical Operations, and clinic staff is essential to maximize clinic revenues and control expenditures. The incumbent is also responsible for overseeing the Faculty’s procurement activities, e-commerce, and clinic patient registration system from a financial perspective
- The candidates should be able to deliver data supporting key priorities of the Faculty, overseeing the use of data, reporting, and analytics products that generate insights for the Faculty
