Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Bachelor’s degree
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years
Credentials: Emergency child care first aid and CPR
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should prioritize punctuality and possess efficient interpersonal skills
- The candidates should exhibit excellent oral communication abilities and demonstrate flexibility in their approach
- The candidates should exercise good judgment and function well as team players
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest
- The candidates should be able to order supplies and equipment and support early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
- The candidates should be able to assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records and engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
- The candidates should be able to provide opportunities for children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity and guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
- The candidates should be able to maintain daycare equipment and assist in housekeeping and cooking duties, prepare snacks, and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
- The candidates should be able to observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems, prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors, and submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
- The candidates should be able to assess the abilities, interests, and needs of children, discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members, and attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
- The candidates should be able to plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours
