Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a College/CEGEP
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Area of specialization: Development, Testing, Installation, Operations or production, Repair, and Troubleshooting
Equipment and machinery experience: Telecommunication system, Robotic equipment and systems, Radar equipment and systems, Data communication equipment and systems, Electric motors, generators, drives and motor controls, Automotive equipment and systems, Electronic testing equipment and systems, Lighting system, and Industrial processes
Computer and technology knowledge: Device drivers, Networking hardware, Internet, Programming software, Computer-aided design (CAD), MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, Programmable logic controller (PLC), MS Office, and MS Windows
Area of work experience: Evaluate work environments, programs, and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury
Area of specialization: Development, Testing, Installation, Operations or production, Repair, and Troubleshooting

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
  • The candidates should be capable of working under pressure and demonstrate attention to detail
  • The candidates should have the ability to distinguish between colors and be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
  • The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to design, develop, and test power equipment and systems proficiently and assist in the design, development, and testing processes effectively
  • The candidates should be able to assist in preparing estimates, schedules, specifications, and reports accurately and read and interpret blueprints diligently
  • The candidates should be able to write specifications clearly and install, maintain, and service equipment competently
  • The candidates should be able to assist in inspecting, testing, and adjusting electronic components proficiently and calibrate electronic equipment and instruments accurately
  • The candidates should be able to conduct safety training programs effectively and assist in building and testing prototypes to specifications proficiently
  • The candidates should be able to collect and compile operational or experimental data systematically and conduct or supervise the installation, commissioning, and operation of electrical and electronic equipment and systems proficiently
  • The candidates should be able to set up and operate specialized and standard test equipment to diagnose, test, and analyze the performance of electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and systems accurately
  • The candidates should be able to complete work orders, test, and maintenance reports diligently and test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance accurately
