Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have previous working experience with the elderly in long-term care or a senior living environment is an asset
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have a valid Continuing Care Certification or Provincial Personal Support Worker course or an equivalent qualification
- The candidates should be able to work a schedule with flexible hours and shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- The candidates should be able to provide a clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening
- The candidates should have Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care course to be considered as an asset
- The candidates should have a valid CPR & First Aid Certification is required
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assist residents with hygiene and daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, oral care, skin care, meals, and mobilizing according to the work assignment
- The candidates should be able to collaborate with the resident and other members of the interdisciplinary team in the development of an individualized Resident Care Plan
- The candidates should be able to assist in the planning and implementation of resident leisure activities on a daily basis
- The candidates should be able to assist with light housekeeping duties
- The candidates should be able to perform delegated nursing acts according to company policy and scope of practice
- They should be able to communicate and report relevant information regarding resident care or safety to the Supervisor
