Salary: $60,000 to $90,000 annually (To be negotiated) for 40 hours per week

Work setting: Oil and gas industry

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completed College, CEGEP, or another non-university certificate or diploma program from 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience would be considered
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 3 years to less than 5 years
Area of specialization: Civil engineering, Survey
Survey specialization: Land survey, Legal survey
Area of work experience: 
Oil or gas pipelines
Type of industry experience: Oil and Gas Well Sites
Computer and technology knowledge: Internet, Desktop applications, Mapping and data visualization software, Database software, Computer-aided design (CAD), AutoCAD, MS Office, MS Windows, Spreadsheet
Own tools/equipment: Internet access, Cellular phone
Credentials: AutoCAD Certification

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work effectively under tight deadlines and possess a strong attention to detail
  • The candidates should be comfortable with tasks that involve sitting

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should excel in both oral and written communication and maintain a high level of organization
  • The candidates should be collaborative team players

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to prepare engineering designs and drawings, including developing and preparing design sketches
  • The candidates should be able to examine drawings for conformity and errors
