  • The candidates should be willing to work evenings and weekends when needed, as news never stops


  • The candidates should be able to take a lead role in ensuring that content is produced to meet audience needs for each platform
  • The candidates should be able to take a lead role in vetting content to ensure it meets editorial standards
  • The candidates should be able to write and edit stories for newscasts and digital platforms
  • The candidates should be able to assign news stories as needed
  • The candidates should be able to collaborate with editorial, digital, and operations teams in Edmonton and markets across Canada to ensure all content is produced and posted for each platform
  • The candidates should be able to support and communicate effectively with field teams
  • The candidates should be able to contribute to and help generate story ideas and pitches
  • The candidates should be able to complete and vet all production elements needed for air, including scripts, fonts, graphics, outcues, etc.
