Northwest Territories farm and food work may include local production, greenhouses, livestock support, equipment, processing and rural jobs. Confirm the community, season, housing, transport and schedule before accepting an offer. Browse NWT farm jobs and agriculture jobs across Canada.
The Northwest Territories Nominee Program is employer-driven. The territorial government says employers must advertise locally and nationally first, and workers need a valid job offer from an NWT employer or must qualify through an eligible business stream. Under the Employer-Driven stream, the employer applies on the worker's behalf when no qualified Canadian or permanent resident is available. Read the current official NTNP information.
A job offer is not a work permit. Ask which federal process applies and confirm that you have authorization before travelling or starting. A territorial nomination and permanent-residence application are separate from temporary work authorization. See our farm worker permit guide.
Keep the offer and program correspondence. Check that wages, duties and location match the written terms. Never pay for a job offer or guaranteed nomination. Verify current requirements with the Government of the Northwest Territories.
