The Canadian province of Alberta has officially announced the launch of a new immigration application form under its provincial immigration system, aimed at attracting skilled workers and entrepreneurs, with a direct pathway to Canadian permanent residence (PR).
📍 What is the Alberta Program?
The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) allows Alberta to nominate skilled foreign workers or business owners for Canadian permanent residence (PR).
Candidates may qualify with or without a job offer in some streams like Express Entry.
📌 Main Streams Available:
Alberta Opportunity Stream (AOS) – for temporary workers inside Canada with a job offer in Alberta.
Rural Renewal Stream – for workers who want to live and work in rural communities of Alberta.
Alberta Express Entry Stream – for candidates already in the federal Express Entry pool with skills needed by Alberta.
Rural Entrepreneur & Graduate Entrepreneur Streams – for business owners or recent graduates planning to start a business in Alberta.
📑 General Requirements:

✔️ Clean police record
✔️ Financial ability to settle in Alberta
✔️ Job offer from an employer in some streams

✔ Pay application fees (appx. 500 CAD in some streams).
✔ Wait for provincial nomination approval.
After nomination, apply for Canadian permanent residence (PR) via IRCC (federal).
