Work setting: Rural area, staff accommodation available, and remote location
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Area of specialization: Beef cattle
Equipment and machinery experience: Automated manure handling or storage system and feeding and watering system
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be experienced in beef cattle ranching and farming, including feedlots, and comfortable working outdoors.
- The candidates should be able to tolerate various odors associated with livestock and have experience handling livestock
- The candidates should be prepared for a combination of sitting, standing, and walking during their duties
- The candidates should be willing to work overtime as required
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be willing to collaborate and be a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to mark livestock as proof of ownership, monitor the calving process, and track and report on current feed inventory
- The candidates should be able to perform weaning, carry out pasture or pen breeding programs, and coordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting laborers
- The candidates should be able to formulate feeding programs, maintain livestock performance records, and select livestock for sale
- The candidates should be able to maintain work records and logs and perform general farm duties
