Duties

Clear fields of wood and stones Disinfect pens, barns or poultry houses Handling animals Monitoring animal health Feed and tend animals Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed Maintain quality control and production records Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry Perform general farm duties Examine product for quality and its readiness for the market Set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns, pens and chicken coops

Key Responsibilities

  • Feed and monitor animals and assist with general livestock care
  • Clean barns, pens, feeding areas, and farm equipment
  • Handle animals safely and report any signs of illness or injury
  • Load, unload, and move supplies, feed, and farm materials
