Duties

Cut agricultural crops Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable lots and non-marketable lots Follow sustainable soy farming practices such as crop rotation, reduced-till or no-till, water and nutrient management, precision farming technology and cover crops Organize tasks to accomplish the work Oversee the activities of clearing the fields Tie and secure plants Weeding Provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying or harvesting Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment Perform general farm duties Supervision 5-10 people

Key Responsibilities

Main duties commonly associated with this role
  • Plant, cultivate, irrigate, and harvest crops according to farm operations
  • Clean crops, work areas, tools, and farm equipment
  • Load, unload, and move crates, supplies, and farm produce
  • Operate basic farm machinery and equipment safely
  • Assist with fertilizing, spraying, and general field maintenance
  • Support daily agricultural activities in a physically active environment
