Duties

Clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens and other work areas Conduct artificial insemination and spraying or shearing of livestock or disinfecting pens, barns or poultry houses Handling animals Monitoring animal health Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed Perform general farm duties

Key Responsibilities

Main duties commonly associated with this role
  • Feed and monitor animals and assist with general livestock care
  • Clean barns, pens, feeding areas, and farm equipment
  • Handle animals safely and report any signs of illness or injury
  • Load, unload, and move supplies, feed, and farm materials
  • Assist with routine farm maintenance and sanitation procedures
  • Follow biosecurity, safety, and animal welfare guidelines
