Key Responsibilities
- Feed and monitor animals and assist with general livestock care
- Clean barns, pens, feeding areas, and farm equipment
- Handle animals safely and report any signs of illness or injury
- Load, unload, and move supplies, feed, and farm materials
- Assist with routine farm maintenance and sanitation procedures
- Follow biosecurity, safety, and animal welfare guidelines
Requirements
- Basic English communication skills
- No degree, certificate or diploma required for most entry-level farm positions
- Experience requirement: Will train
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, walking, and standing for long periods
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and overtime when required
- Strong work ethic, reliability, teamwork, and ability to work outdoors or in farm production environments
Work Environment
- On-site work only; remote work is not available
- Physically demanding farm environment involving livestock care
- Exposure to odors, noise, dust, and varying temperatures
- Fast-paced setting with repetitive tasks and flexible work schedules
- Work may take place in barns, pens, feeding areas, and animal housing facilities
