Job description
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Brampton, Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and heavy-duty vehicles or equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
This is a full-time, permanent position based on site, offering $36.10 per hour for 35 hours per week, with shifts available in the morning, day, and evening. The position is available immediately, with 6 vacancies currently open.
The ideal candidate should have strong mechanical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and hands-on experience working with diesel systems, engines, and related components. Attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily farm operations and general agricultural tasks
- Clean work areas, tools, machinery, and farm facilities
- Load, unload, and move supplies and agricultural products
- Operate farm equipment safely when required
- Support crop production or livestock care depending on farm activities
- Follow workplace safety procedures and employer instructions
Requirements
- Basic English communication skills
- Education requirement: High School
- Experience requirement: 1 year
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, walking, and standing for long periods
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and overtime when required
- Strong work ethic, reliability, teamwork, and ability to work outdoors or in farm production environments
