Job description
We are currently seeking motivated and physically fit individuals to join our team as Farm Labourers (Grain) in Alberta, Canada. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with no prior experience, as full training is provided on-site. A total of 20 positions are available.
Duties
As a farm labourer, you will support daily agricultural operations related to grain production, including wheat and other crops. The role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions and performing hands-on tasks essential to crop cultivation and harvesting.
Key Responsibilities
- Plant, cultivate, irrigate, and harvest grain crops according to farm operations
- Clean work areas, tools, machinery, and storage spaces
- Load, unload, and move grain, supplies, crates, and agricultural products
- Operate or assist with basic farm machinery and equipment safely
- Support fertilizing, spraying, and general field maintenance
- Assist with daily grain farm operations in a physically active environment
Requirements
- Basic English communication skills
- Education requirement: No formal education required
- Experience requirement: No experience
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, walking, and standing for long periods
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and overtime when required
- Strong work ethic, reliability, teamwork, and ability to work outdoors or in farm production environments
Work Environment
- On-site work only; remote work is not available
- Outdoor agricultural environment focused on grain and field crop production
- Exposure to dust, wind, heat, cold, and weather changes
- Physically demanding work during planting, maintenance, and harvest periods
- Work may take place in open fields, storage areas, and machinery zones
