Duties

• Feed and monitor hogs and assist with daily animal care routines
• Clean pens, barns, feeding systems, and farm equipment
• Observe animal health and report illness, injuries, or abnormal behavior
• Handle and move animals safely according to farm procedures
• Support sanitation, barn maintenance, and biosecurity standards
• Load, unload, and move feed, supplies, and farm materials

• Basic English communication skills
• No degree, certificate or diploma required for most entry-level farm positions
• Previous farm experience is an asset but not always mandatory
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, walking, and standing for long periods
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and overtime when required
• Strong work ethic, reliability, teamwork, and ability to work outdoors or in farm production environments

• On-site work only; remote work is not available
• Indoor and outdoor livestock environment focused on hog production
• Exposure to odors, noise, dust, and temperature variations
• Physically demanding work with repetitive tasks and flexible schedules
• Work may take place in barns, feeding areas, and animal housing units
