Tasks: Consider water saturation, light and temperature when planning for crop growth and development. Direct agricultural crops deleafing activities. Maintain and manage growth of vines, vine canopy and grapes. Organize planting, cultivating and crop harvesting activities. Train trees to produce more fruit of higher quality. Maintain farm machinery, equipment and buildings. Manage overall operation of farm. Purchase machinery, livestock, seed, feed and other supplies. Determine the amount and kinds of crops to be grown and livestock to be raised. Establish marketing programs. Maintain financial and production records. Recruit, hire and supervise staff and/or volunteers. Supervise staff. Plan and manage budgets. Analyze data and prepare reports. Supervision: Staff in various areas of responsibility.
