Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completed training at any accredited heavy or commercial equipment training institute
Experience: Candidates should have two years of experience in the relevant field
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be flexible, self-motivated, and comfortable working in all weather conditions
- The candidates should be respectful and understand the value of good customer service
- The candidates should be able to work around environmental hazards, various traffic conditions, and perform occasional work in a mechanical environment
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have a professional driving course from a recognized truck driving training facility and possess knowledge of hydraulic systems and mechanical skills
- The candidates should have previous experience driving a manual transmission, operating trucks with salt and plow equipment, and knowledge of salt spreading systems
- The candidates should possess a minimum of a Class III license with air brake endorsement
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to operate snow removal equipment such as snowplows, graders, and loaders
- The candidates should be able to perform general maintenance on the equipment, including pre-and-post trip inspections and daily logs
- The candidates should be able to maintain signs, repair road surfaces, and manage traffic control
