Shifts: Day, Shift, Overtime, On Call, To be determined, Early Morning, Morning

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Area of specialization: Truck repair
Security and safety: Basic security clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, perform repetitive tasks, handle heavy loads, manage physically demanding tasks, demonstrate manual dexterity, and exhibit hand-eye coordination
  • The candidates should be able to work overtime when required

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be show efficient interpersonal skills, demonstrate flexibility, stay organized, work as a team player, maintain punctuality, and demonstrate a hardworking attitude

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to interpret welding process specifications, operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment, and read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes
  • The candidates should be able to use computer-aided design (CAD), operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines, and fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal
  • The candidates should be able to operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air), determine the weldability of materials, and operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
  • The candidates should be able to operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or fill holes, indentations, and seams of metal, and maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment
