Transportation information: Drive manual transmission vehicle, Valid driver’s licence, Willing to travel for extended periods, Willing to travel internationally, and Willing to travel overnight
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Transportation/travel experience: International, Long-haul, National, and Provincial/territorial
Documentation knowledge: Accident or incident reports, Bill of lading, Driver logbook, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Maintenance and repair reports, Trans-border documentation, and Trip reports
Type of trucking and equipment: Straight truck (4,600kg+ or 10,000lbs+ with 3+ axles)
Communication systems experience: Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment and Trip recorder (on-board computer)
Own tools/equipment: Cellular phone
Credentials: AZ class license
Security and safety: Valid passport and Driver’s validity licence check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should possess a high level of attention to detail and be experienced in handling heavy loads efficiently
- The candidates should be able to manage a large workload and be willing to work overtime as required
- The candidates should be physically fit to meet the demands of a physically demanding job, capable of efficiently handling repetitive tasks, and able to perform tasks that involve sitting
- The candidates should also be able to lift weights up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
