Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completed a Journeyperson’s Certificate in Plumbing
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of three years of plumbing experience
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to constantly lift, carry, or move objects up to 11 lbs., regularly between 11 – 44 lbs., and occasionally over 44 lbs
- The candidates should be able to regularly exert physical effort using tools that require accurate control and steadiness, maintaining physical balance, standing, walking, climbing, using gross and fine motor skills, and working in awkward or cramped positions that require strength and endurance
- The candidates should be prepared to work under time pressures and deadlines, handle frequent interruptions, and manage lack of control over work pace as priorities change and services are interrupted
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have experience in the construction industry and demonstrate strong time management, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- The candidates should be able to work independently with minimal supervision and a satisfactory record of work performance
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to perform skilled work in all types of plumbing installations, including pressure piping, sanitary sewer piping, and plumbing of fixtures
- The candidates should be able to handle plumbing tasks related to specialized hospital equipment
- The candidates should be able to conduct maintenance work, as well as new construction or renovation tasks, in compliance with standards
- The candidates should be able to liaise and communicate effectively with contractors to ensure smooth project execution
- The candidates should be able to perform other related duties as required, demonstrating versatility and a proactive approach in their role
