Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to compute dimensions and tolerances, set up machine tools, and verify machined parts for conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
- The candidates should be able to program CNC machine tools, read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications, and machine, fit, and assemble castings and other parts to make metal molds, core boxes, and precision models of the required shape
- The candidates should be able to inspect and test final products, set up and operate electrical discharge machines (EDM), and lay out, shape, and assemble patterns of metal, wood, plastic, and other materials from blueprints, models, or templates
- The candidates should be able to position, secure, measure, and work metal stock or castings to lay out for machining and set up, operate, and maintain a variety of conventional and computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools
