- The candidate should be able to prepare bills of lading, invoices and other shipping documents, prepare merchandise for purchase, rental or lease and also prepare sales, rental or leasing contracts and accept cash, cheque, credit card or automatic debit payment
- The candidate should be able to inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, route goods to appropriate storage areas, pack goods to be shipped, unpack goods received and also pay and receive payments for goods
- The candidate should be able to address customers’ complaints or concerns, answer inquiries and provide information to customers and also greet customers and discuss type, quality and quantity of merchandise or services sought for purchase, rental or lease
- The candidate should be able to access and process information, operate computerized inventory record keeping and re-ordering systems, issue receipts and other forms and also conduct sales transactions through Internet-based electronic commerce
- The candidate should be able to sell merchandise, receive payments and also provide advice about merchandise
