Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have educational qualifications such as Grade 10 education
Experience: Candidates should have Six months experience in the operation of machinery and power tools

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • The candidates should have the ability to work outdoors for extended periods and under all weather conditions as required by work assignments
  • The candidates should demonstrate physical ability to perform the assigned duties

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess a valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver’s Licence. Class 3A or 1A and experience working with concrete, asphalt, and water and sewer construction
  • The candidates should provide a current driver abstract from SGI, demonstrating a safe driving record
  • The candidates should possess the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with the public and civic employees
  • The candidates should have skill in the operation of small maintenance equipment, hand, and power tools in an efficient, responsible manner and in accordance with recognized procedures

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to perform unskilled physical maintenance and repair work
  • The candidates should be able to perform a variety of manual labor duties for roadways and water and sewer operations
  • The candidates should be able to ensure work activities are performed in accordance with Corporate safety policies, regulations, and procedures
  • The candidates should be able to perform other related duties as assigned
