Salary: $16.00 to $24.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 45 to 55 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Winsloe, PE
Shifts: Day, Evening, Morning
Transportation information: Own transportation and Valid driver’s licence
Work setting: Various locations

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years
Type of trucking and equipment: Roll-off truck
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Credentials: Air Brakes Endorsement, and Class 3/3F/DF Licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles)

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be experienced in managing repetitive tasks with efficiency
  • The candidates should be able to work effectively under pressure
  • The candidates should be adaptable to a work environment that involves a combination of sitting, standing, and walking

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be equipped with efficient interpersonal skills
  • The candidates should possess excellent oral communication abilities
  • The candidates should demonstrate flexibility in adapting to various tasks and situations
  • The candidates should be reliable in fulfilling their responsibilities
  • The candidates should be team players, fostering collaboration and cooperation within the work environment

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to load and unload goods
  • The candidates should be able to perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
  • The candidates should be able to receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • The candidates should be able to tarping and ensure the safety and security of cargo
  • The candidates should be able to report any malfunctions to the supervisor
  • The candidates should be able to check, lubricate, refuel, and clean equipment
