Salary: $42.00 to $45.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 10 to 40 hours per week

Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, Overtime, On Call, Flexible Hours, To be determined, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Own vehicle, travel expenses paid by employer, valid driver’s licence, and willing to travel
Work setting: Various Locations
Supervision: 16-20 people, staff in various areas of responsibility

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as Other trades certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Area of specialization: Drug addiction, geriatrics, infection control, intensive care, mental health, neurology, nursery, palliative care, pediatrics, and rehabilitation
Own tools/equipment: Cellular phone
Credentials: CPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate, licensure as a Registered Nurse by provincial or territorial authorities
Security and safety: Adult Abuse Registry check, bondable, Child Abuse Registry check, and criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail in all aspects of their work and possess manual dexterity for tasks that require precise hand movements
  • The candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing a large workload efficiently, and meeting tight deadlines while working under pressure

  • The candidates should be accurate in their work, ensuring precision and correctness, and prioritize client focus, addressing client needs and concerns effectively

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to assess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions, assist in surgery and other medical procedures, and collaborate to plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate patient care
  • The candidates should be able to conduct disease screening, deliver health education programs, deliver immunization programs, dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician, and engage in research activities related to nursing
  • The candidates should be able to manage home care cases, monitor, assess, address, document, and report symptoms and changes in patients’ conditions, operate or monitor medical apparatus or equipment, and participate in community needs assessment and program development
  • The candidates should be able to provide consultative services regarding issues relevant to the nursing profession and nursing practice, provide nursing care, provide supportive counseling and life skills programming, and supervise licensed practical nurses and other nursing staff
