Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and be able to stand for extended periods as required by the job
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate excellent oral communication skills, exhibit flexibility in adapting to various tasks and situations, and be effective team players, collaborating with colleagues to achieve common goals
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to operate a cash register, process money, cheques, and credit/debit card payments, tabulate the total payment for goods or services required, calculate daily/shift payments received, and reconcile with total sales
- The candidates should be able to stock shelves and clean the counter area, greet customers, accept reservations or take-out orders, provide customer service, and verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products
