Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence and Driver’s abstract
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Equipment and machinery experience: Towing tractors, Lavatory servicing trucks, Aircraft cargo doors and Passenger loading stairs
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Airport security clearance, Driver’s validity licence check and Medical exam
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be non-smoking and comfortable working outdoors, in noisy environments, and in confined spaces
- The candidates should be able to work in hot conditions and thrive in a fast-paced environment, capable of working effectively under pressure and meeting tight deadlines
- The candidates should be physically fit for demanding tasks, demonstrate attention to detail, and be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, as well as bending, crouching, and kneeling
- The candidates should be willing to work overtime when required and be able to lift more than 45 kg (100 lbs), as needed
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should exhibit dependability and possess excellent oral communication skills
- The candidates should demonstrate flexibility and be organized
- The candidates should demonstrate reliability and be a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to drive and operate ramp-servicing vehicles and equipment, position passenger loading stairs, and operate aircraft cargo doors
- The candidates should be able to marshall or tow aircraft to gate positions, sort and load cargo and passenger baggage according to instructions, and transport freight between aircraft and airport warehouse
- The candidates should be able to unload, sort, and route cargo and passenger baggage, and clean and prepare aircraft interior for passengers and wash aircraft exterior
