Schedule: Weekends, and a rotating shift schedule
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a high school graduate
Experience: Candidates should have 5+ years of experience in soybean crushing, oil refining, milling and oil packaging operations
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have the ability to work odd hours, weekends, and a rotating shift schedule
- The work schedule includes a 12-hour rotating shift (48-hour week/36-hour week)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related and applicable activities
- The candidates should be proficient with basic computer skills, including Lotus Notes, Microsoft Word, and other technical software packages
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to cultivate a safety culture where unsafe acts are not tolerated, and employees and management share a common goal of zero injuries
- The candidates should be able to oversee assigned department production shift activities (crush, refinery, milling, packaging, warehouse, boiler house, and elevator) to ensure operations are running at the highest levels of efficiency
- The candidates should be able to ensure the assigned shift is compliant with sanitation requirements, provide support in monthly sanitation inspections, and implement any corrective actions
- The candidates should be able to approve daily reports and KPIs for the assigned shift and report and troubleshoot operations issues and and report shift productivity improvements
- The candidates should be able to provide input to the Mgr-Production Operations and/or Plant Manager to plan annual shutdowns
- The candidates should be able to support Process Safety Management programs, where applicable and work with the Safety or Environmental Manager to ensure compliance of the assigned shift in all aspects
- The candidates should be able to help develop and drive Operations Excellence Plans to meet safety, quality, and production goals, and show continuous improvement in the assigned shift
- The candidates should be able to support continuous improvement activities and act as a change agent for any changes occurring in the assigned shift and help develop plans to align the assigned shift with Operations Excellence goals
- The candidates should be able to periodically participate in daily production meetings to remain informed and ensure that the assigned shift operations activities and participate in personnel investigations and recommend corrective actions
