Experience: Candidates should have training and/or experience interacting with the public in a retail and/or service environment, including sales and cash transactions

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to available for temporary, on-call work
  • They should be physically fit to lift mail containers of up to 50 lb, push or pull boxes, sort mail, and stand for extended periods of time

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should have an understanding of general or post office accounting systems


  • The candidates should be able to sell postal products and services to the business community and the public, effectively communicating the benefits and features of various offerings
  • The candidates should be able to sort, distribute, and process mail into appropriate classifications with accuracy and efficiency
  • The candidates should be able to provide customers with information and forms related to postal services, assisting them with their needs
  • The candidates should be able to address delivery and service difficulties promptly and thoroughly, resolving problems to ensure customer satisfaction
