Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of Grade 12
Experience: Candidates should have previous experience working in a food production facility

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time and complete repetitive work tasks

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have GED equivalent education and be fluent in English, as this role will be performed in English
  • The candidates should possess strong teamwork skills, strong attention to detail and strong sanitation skills and good communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to follow and comply with all Company quality standards and expectations and raise any quality concerns observed to their Team Lead, Lead Hand, or Supervisor
  • The candidates should be able to ensure complete and accurate records are kept regarding packaging activities and follow the production schedule as communicated
  • The candidates should be able to follow guidance and direction from the Packaging Team Lead, Packaging Lead Hand, or Packaging Supervisor
  • The candidates should be able to operate various pieces of packaging equipment as required to ensure the product is packaged and ready for shipment
  • The candidates should be able to work with the Packaging Supervisor on getting cross-trained on multiple pieces of packaging equipment
  • The candidates should be able to follow and comply with all Company occupational health and safety standards and expectations and meet all shift schedule requirements, including arriving to work on time for all scheduled shifts
  • The candidates should be able to perform daily inspections and checks on packaging equipment to ensure it is in optimal working condition and advise the team lead or lead hand on any equipment issues or concerns
  • The candidates should be able to attend regular stand-up meetings to receive daily tasks and order requirements and follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and SOPs
  • The candidates should be able to operate powered lifting equipment and ensure good housekeeping practices are followed, ensuring the work area and equipment are kept clean
