Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of Certified Project Management Professional
Experience: Candidates should have over 6 years and up to 8 years experience in the relevant field

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have knowledge of business administration, data communications, and database management to develop and implement performance system requirements and business processes
  • The candidates should have good communication skills to communicate effectively with internal and external contacts
  • The candidates should have knowledge is considered to be normally acquired through the completion of Grade XII plus 3 years of further concentrated study
  • The candidates should have a good understanding of the Tx and Dx Forestry Work program, operations, and the interrelationship between organizations such as the Dx Lines Work Management, Workforce Deployment, HR, and other Business Units
  • The candidates should have experience with business information systems, software applications, and computer hardware to develop and implement performance systems
  • The candidates should have experience with network communications, procedures, standards, and work routines
  • The candidates should have experience to understand the specifics of various computerized systems and their interrelationship with other systems
  • The candidates should have experience to be familiar with the business in order to make effective recommendations on systems to support its operations
  • The candidates should have experience with effective training approaches and methods, as well as documenting training procedures and experience working on mergers and acquisition initiatives is ideal and experience in the utility industry is preferred, but experience in telecommunications or mining industries is also welcome

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to supervise staff engaged in the development and delivery of Distribution and Transmission Forestry work programs and plan, schedule, organize, and assign work to ensure quality and accuracy while maintaining schedules
  • The candidates should be able to provide advice, guidance, and direction to staff in resolving work-related problems and establish clear expectations and performance measures
  • The candidates should be able to demonstrate leadership and respond to staff requirements to achieve targets and quality objectives and make effective recommendations on human resource issues, including career counseling, hiring, discharge, discipline, and resolving performance problems
  • The candidates should be able to develop assigned work processes, monitor, evaluate, and recommend changes and improvements for efficient completion of work and compile, analyze, assess, and review information, designs, specifications, schedules, and resource capabilities as part of business planning and work programming
  • The candidates should be able to assist in discussions, problem-solving, and issue resolution with customers, developers, joint use parties, utilities, road authorities, and internal clients and monitor processes, work program expectations, policies, and performance to identify items requiring audit and prepare standards for compliance
  • The candidates should be able to provide advice and direction on processes, technical specifications, work program expectations, and resource requirements and identify, plan, organize, and monitor requirements for activities requiring completion by various groups to ensure service delivery
  • The candidates should be able to collaborate with the Distribution Forestry team on jurisdictional work assignments, training needs, legislative changes, and business requirements and work with Work Force Acquisition on matters related to new, rehab, and contract work under IOPA, CPA, and PSA agreements
  • The candidates should be able to conduct cost analysis and prepare productivity studies for ongoing and finalized projects, referencing benchmark data and maintain awareness of technological advances in work tools and processes to enhance work management and execution
  • The candidates should be able to assist in resolving deficiencies by collaborating with field staff as necessary and promoting established policies and methods
  • The candidates should be able to stay informed of technology and recommend applications within the Company, participating as a technical representative in committees and pilot applications
