Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials: First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to supply and empty bed pans, serve meal trays, feed patients, and maintain patients’ rooms
- The candidates should be able to take patients’ blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, weigh, lift, turn, and position patients, supervise patients’ exercise routines, and administer suppositories, colonic irrigations, and enemas
- The candidates should be able to make beds, maintain inventory of supplies, bathe, dress, and groom patients, and answer call signals
- The candidates should be able to collect specimens, accompany patients on outside recreational activities, and perform other duties related to patient care and comfort, as well as administer first aid in emergency situations
