Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to supply and empty bedpans for patients efficiently and with sensitivity, and take patients’ blood pressure, temperature, and pulse accurately, using appropriate medical equipment
- The candidates should be able to serve meal trays and feed patients with care and attention to dietary requirements, and weigh, lift, turn, and position patients safely and according to medical protocols
- The candidates should be able to deliver messages, reports, requisitions, and specimens between departments promptly and accurately, and make beds and maintain patients’ rooms in a clean and comfortable condition
- The candidates should be able to supervise patients’ exercise routines as directed by medical staff, and administer suppositories, colonic irrigations, and enemas with attention to patient comfort and dignity
- The candidates should be able to maintain an inventory of supplies, ensuring that essential items are always available, and bathe, dress, and groom patients with care and sensitivity to their individual needs
- The candidates should be able to transport patients between care facilities safely and comfortably, and in a wheelchair or stretcher as needed, ensuring their safety and comfort during transit
- The candidates should be able to answer call signals promptly to determine patients’ needs and provide assistance as required, and collect specimens for testing according to medical protocols, ensuring accuracy and proper handling
- The candidates should be able to prepare patients for surgery by washing, shaving, and sterilizing operative areas as directed by medical staff, and administer first aid in emergency situations effectively, providing immediate assistance to patients in distress
