Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience in a Manufacturing plant, or heavy industry experience as a Coordinator or a related role

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have good leadership and communication skills, work well in a team environment, and promote and maintain a safe working environment through compliance with MLF’s Health and Safety Program, including Food Safety and Environmental compliance
  • The candidates should be a detail-oriented storekeeper with inventory and warehouse management experience, applying proven MRO best practices in an industrial environment
  • The candidates should be familiar with using the SAP warehouse management system and MS Office tools and have experience applying Standard Operating Procedures in their work
  • The candidates should follow company policies, standards, and guidelines as they apply to all activities and have proficiency in SAP and the Microsoft Office suite
  • The candidates should possess excellent interpersonal, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • The candidates should have the ability to quickly learn SAP, have a strong knowledge of MRO parts and exhibit strong analytical and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to, consistent with our leadership values, act as a champion for our culture by participating in the development and execution of a positive and productive environment focused on the needs of our people
  • The candidates should be able to collaborate with the MRO team, including purchasers, to ensure optimal stock levels of critical spare parts and create bin locations physically and in SAP, stock bin locations with spare parts, and maintain an organized storeroom
  • The candidates should be able to conduct inventory cycle counts, including physical counts, and compare physical stock count to SAP stock to ensure accuracy and reconcile differences (Spot Checks)
  • The candidates should be able to process all returned parts as required and apply the Materials Management process in support of planned maintenance operations and work with the Planner to ensure all required parts are available before the work is scheduled
  • The candidates should be able to regularly review Materials/Inventory Management guidelines with key stakeholders and continuously improve Materials/Inventory Management performance based on Maintenance and Operational results and data
  • The candidates should be able to participate in regular Material/Inventory Management strategy planning sessions and maintain vendor information attached to the material part numbers and identify new, used, broken, and refurbished spare parts in the warehouse and track them in SAP and perform required housekeeping of the stockroom when needed
  • The candidates should be able to process parts/materials requests to meet time requirements and verify that parts/materials received conform to the PO and are in good condition, informing Purchasing if the quantity of parts/materials does not correspond to the PO or are damaged
  • The candidates should be able to follow the plant split valuation process for repairs/refurbishment requirements and the spare parts disposal process and maintain required stock levels of consumables and drive continuous improvement efforts in the stockroom
  • The candidates should be able to ensure the provision of care and preservation for spare parts in the warehouse and oversee the documented parts receiving and issuing processes
  • The candidates should be able to kit and stage all required parts for scheduled work prior to the work being added to the schedule and regularly review kits with the Planner or End User and ensure all Chemicals have been approved before releasing into stock and obtain the necessary licensing with various Power workers
  •  The candidates should be able to participate in the Maintenance department’s continuous improvement initiatives and assist in resolving shortfalls in Inventory levels
  • The candidates should be able to demonstrate a full commitment to the implementation of the requirements of the Global Standard for Food Safety and to processes that facilitate the continual improvement of food safety and quality management
