Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have 3 to 5 years of industry experience and a deep understanding of their local market
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have strong sales management experience and the ability to effectively market themselves, the mortgage business, and Scotiabank
- The candidates should be relationship builders focused on providing an exceptional client experience and growing relationships with existing bank customers
- The candidates should maintain current knowledge of mortgage lending policies and procedures and understand the real estate market, property values, sales trends, and competitor programs to respond appropriately to business requirements
- The candidates should possess and maintain a driver’s license and have access to personal transportation
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to maximize the development of residential mortgage business from third-party referral sources such as real estate agents, lawyers, financial planners, and centers of influence
- The candidates should be able to bring new customers to the Bank through effective networking and relationship-building with referral sources
- The candidates should be able to strategically manage and grow relationships with key partners to increase mortgage business opportunities
